What is dementia ?

Dementia is a condition associated with an on going decline of the brain function.

While there's currently no cures, if its diagnosed early, there are ways to help slow down and manage the condition, while maintaining mental functions.

What causes dementia ?

Dementia is a disease that's effect the brain. There are many different types of dementia mixed dementia, vascular dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies and frontotemporal dementia diseases, but Alzheimer's is the most common. 

What are the symptoms ?

  • Memory loss
  • difficulty concentrating
  • finding it hard to carry out daily tasks (such as getting confused over correct change when shopping
  • struggling to follow a conversation
  • being confused about time and place
  • mood changes including inappropriate amorous attention or aggression
